I’ve posted a couple outfit posts (here & here) featuring items from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection, but I wanted to share a video review and shopping haul.
Since bringing the collection home and having had a chance to try things on and see what works and what doesn’t, I can say that my favourite pieces are definitely the boom sweatshirt, the leopard sweater and the mini black satchel.
If you find anything in the leopard print, definitely jump on it. The rust and mustard colour is perfect for fall, and I find it looks stunning paired with jeans, a navy blazer or anything in black! So much so, that my mom went back to Target and picked up a few more pieces in the same print. While I haven’t washed anything yet, for the low price points, I’m relatively satisfied.
I also picked up a couple pieces from the mens’ line for my boyfriend. While he’s keeping the sweater, the tee was too boxy and the black was too grey.
I wasn’t planning on keeping this dress, but the print and cut is so unique.
One thing I learned about the black satchel was that my magnet wasn’t working because one magnet fell out. I’ve since detached the two magnets and re-glued it back in. This has me a little worried as to the quality of the bag (obviously), so I will save it for lighter loads and casual wear.
