Today’s look was inspired by my latest bag obsession – Modalu London’s Olivia bag. I’ve only had her for two days, and I’m already in love with this petite and functional city bag. To compliment this aubergine beauty, I went monochromatic with matching purple jeans, suede booties and a silk printed shirt.
My silk printed shirt is a vintage piece, literally pulled from my grandmother’s closet. I love the equestrian motifs and leopard print.
I buttoned the shirt all the way and added a tortoiseshell collar necklace for interest. Collar necklaces are a recent obsession of mine, and this vintage piece is understated, but I love the glossy finish and its sculptural shape.
I’m wearing brand new aubergine coloured jeans from Urban Planet. I couldn’t resist picking up a few pairs of coloured jeans when they cost around $20! If you want to elongate your legs, high-heeled booties in the same colour as your pants will create a long line that will make it look like you have legs for days!
My new Modalu Olivia bag steals the show with polished gold hardware and a gorgeous shape. I’m obsessed with purple, and I had fun playing with this monochromatic look.
