Besides the faux Pashli purses, there was another item literally flying off the racks at the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target launch- the BOOM sweater. I managed to snag (with the help of my sister), both the sweatshirt and the sweater dress.
I’m wearing the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target sweater dress (and yes, that skirt is attached), a spiked pair of stilettos from Winners and a vintage red leather clutch.
While I’m totally in love with the print, I won’t be keeping this dress. I wanted to post a blog with it (I tried it on for all of four minutes and took these shots outside my house) to review the piece and show people how it looks on. I find the length is way too long, and while it looks great with a pair of stilettos, I couldn’t imagine this with flats – it would look so incredibly matronly. Also keep in mind that I’m almost 5’9″, and this dress hits below my knees! If you’re petite, I would definitely opt for the sweatshirt, or if you’re feeling crafty, cut off the chiffon skirt.
Besides the length, I was disappointed with the fit. This is an XS by the way, and some serious inverted triangle silhouette is happening with a lot of excess on the shoulders. Unless you like the 80s, I’m personally not a fan of this shape. I’m sad to have had to return it, but I know somebody else will enjoy it!

I think this dress looks great on you! And I love how you styled it.
I am petite (5’3) and I was wondering if anyone else was considering cutting off the skirt portion. It is just way too long on me!
