First Day of Spring

I can’t believe winter is FINALLY OVER! It’s been a lot lighter this year, but I’m already excited to ditch sweater tights, snow boots and mittens. Here is my first day of spring outfit to celebrate the new season and new beginnings!

I’m wearing a floral peasant blouse from Topshop at Hudson’s Bay, distressed girlfriend jeans from H&M, purple mirror aviator sunglasses by Ray-Ban, a beige MAB tote by Rebecca Minkoff, and Minnetonka wedge fringe booties.

This outfit definitely has a 1990s inspiration, which is one of the top trends for spring 2016. My distressed jeans go with everything, and to really play up the look, this fun, flouncy peasant top from Topshop is the perfect way to transition into a spring wardrobe. I’ve also worn this top with black leggings and a leather jacket for a warmer look too.

For my beauty look, I kept it simple, with fresh, glowing skin and a gorgeous new contouring lip product in a juicy berry shade c/o Make Up For Ever. I’m excited to share a tutorial to get this look soon, and also featuring all the new contouring products from Make Up For Ever. For my hair, I managed to tame my crazy flyaways (wow, it’s finally getting humid out again!) by greating a hippie dutch braid in the front of the left side of my crown. I like that it frames my face and plays off the lace up details of my blouse.

I’m so excited to shed the layers and embrace more daylight, fresh air and flowers! I’ve already tackled some spring cleaning and can’t wait to go home to Toronto next year, for a change of pace. What are you looking forward to this spring?
