White dress from day to night

One of the biggest trends for fall is all about breaking that age-old fashion rules on no white after labour day. I wanted to share a quick post on how to wear a white dress from day to night. I wore this beautiful Club Monaco white dress (which I previously wore here) for my birthday. I layered the dress under a suede jacket and wore sneakers for the cider festival, and ditched the layers and sneaks in favour of a minimal night look accented by bright teal pumps!

I’m wearing a Club Monaco white dress, pink suede jacket from Bershka (similar pink leather jacket here), floral bucket handbag by 3.1 Phillip Lim, and leopard print sneakers.

This outfit was comfy and casual. Perfect for running around the city and sampling all the delicious ciders at the festival! We went on a walk and checked out the Made in Canada Etsy show at the MArS building afterwards, before rushing home to make it for dinner.

I didn’t have enough time to change for my family dinner, so I ditched the jacket and purse and brought a pair of gorgeous suede Prada pumps to complete the birthday look. For accessories, I kept it simple and wore my new pair of Kendra Scott drop earrings.

All I had to do was bring a pair of pumps in my car and I was ready for dinner. A white dress (or black) is the perfect plain canvas to wear with casual layers or on its own for a sexy, simple statement. I hope you enjoyed this quick post on how to wear a white dress from day to night, hoping to wear this trick again with an LBD or denim shirtdress soon too!
