Marni for H&M

The dust has barely settled on Versace’s collection for H&M and already, another italian fashion brand, Marni, has been officially announced as the next designer collaboration.

The spring collection is due in stores March 8.  I like Marni’s evocative prints and knitwear, but the teaser above doesn’t give much away.  I really hope a printed sleeveless shift dress will be designed, though I’m liking that floral white necklace.  Marni is known for its colourblocking and print clash, so we can all expect that come springtime.

“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints,” explains the designer, Consuelo Castiglioni.

Here’s to hoping this collection is better quality and more appropriate for the season than Versace’s South Beach inspired winter 2011 line.

The Versace pieces were a little too out there for me, but I’m looking forward to this one.
