Pushing Daisies: Forever 21 Daisy Maxi Skirt

One trend that’s everywhere this season is daisy print. You can find it on dresses, crop tops, backpacks and hippie-inspired maxi skirts. It’s floral, feminine and retro, and I couldn’t wait to take my new Forever 21 daisy print maxi skirt with me to Florida. I kept the look fun and casual with a crop top and flats.

I’m wearing a daisy print maxi skirt from Forever 21, crop top from Urban Planet (similar here), Dolce Vita sandals from Saks Off Fifth (one of my outlet mall indulgences), a daisy bracelet from Forever 21, my new rosegold Fossil Georgia watch and my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC in periwinkle.

This outfit was light and comfortable, especially in the high heat and humidity of Orlando. This look was inspired by another blogger, Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere who styled the same Forever 21 daisy print maxi skirt. I decided to wear this look with a white tee to break up all the dark black, and the crop also balances out the long skirt. I love her coral sandals, but I decided to go with a neutral pair in black and inject a pop of colour with my Rebecca Minkoff purse in the most delicious periwinkle colour. I could also see wearing this skirt with a plain white tee or thin sweater, or maybe even a silk blouse for a more elegant take on the daisy print trend.

I love my new sandals… they are the Archer style in black Stella. Obviously I had to get them when the style is named after one of my cats! I took these photos in the colourful and quirky setting of my Disney World hotel, All Star Music Resort. They have themed sections for different types of music, and I love the tiled piano pool deck and colourful pastel jukeboxes of the Rock section.

I was going through old clothing bins last week and found a size 8 kids dress with printed sunflowers, and a pair of daisy embroidered overalls from OshKosh B’Gosh. If only I could get Ms. Frizzle’s shrink gun and turn them into my size today!
