With holiday parties and events, it’s a busy time of year, and it often calls for having a party-ready outfit at a moment’s notice! Last week, I had a chance to shop Sears Canada Concept, a shop-in-shop, and pick out a couple looks that are perfect for holiday parties! I love that one look is more formal, while the other is totally on-trend.
I’m wearing a purple lace dress from Sears Canada Concept shop, $59.99, a David Jones purse from Sears Canada, $35.99 (on sale!), a sparkly statement necklace also from Sears Canada, $10.99, and purple pumps.
This purple lace cocktail dress is so elegant and versatile. I love the intricate lace pattern, that has a beautiful see-through neckline. When I’m shopping for a special occasion outfit, I like to pull together a few accessories and shoes to get an idea of the final look. If I could find stand-ins for pieces I already have, that also helps to complete the image in my head. I found this statement necklace and loved the way it complimented the dress.
For my second outfit, I’m wearing a velvet cold-shoulder from Sears Canada Concept shop, $59.99, a purse from Sears Canada, $35.99, a tassel necklace also from Sears Canada, $11.99, and over-the- knee boots.
I’m obsessed with the burnout velvet pattern of this dress. It is intricate and very ornate. It looks great on its own with a minimalist pair of pumps, or like I’ve worn it here with a vintage tassel necklace and statement over the knee boots. I also like how the velvet keeps you warm and toasty.
The cut-out shoulder dress trend is on fire right now. I love how the cut-outs add a trendy edge to this dress. I’ve been wearing this style on sweaters non-stop too!
I’m also in love with this black David Jones bag. It can be worn as a shoulder or crossbody bag, and has both a clasp and two internal zippers to keep my items secure. It is so roomy inside, and I’ve been wearing non-stop… both with formal and casual outfits. I might have to go back and get it in red!
The main thing I loved about the Sears Canada Concept shop is the affordable price… I basically got two dresses for the price of one, but they are both incredibly in-style and well-made. The lace dress especially is lined carefully and the lace lines up perfectly! The collection is available at 20 select stores.
