Princess Beatrice and the “new normal”

It’s no secret that I love the Royal Family. I’ve covered all the highest profile royal weddings including Beatrice’s sister, Eugenie’s fall nuptials in 2018 and of course, Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding. Princess Beatrice got married on July 17th, and while she didn’t have a carriage procession through Windsor, celebrity guests or a televised ceremony, the Royal Wedding couldn’t…

NEON Clothing Toronto + Canada’s Wonderland outfit

NEON Clothing on Queen West re-opened their doors last month in Toronto, offering lifestyle, adventure and fashion under one roof. I had the chance to visit the Canadian retailer, and pick out an outfit for a weekend of exploring Canada's Wonderland!

I was so impressed by their store design. All of the fixtures were for sale too, and I wanted to take off with an industrial chic pendant lamp, or a vintage Vespa vestibule! NEON Toronto carries both mens’ and ladies fashion as well as a hefty shoe and accessory section. I also spotted some on-trend bomber jackets from authentic outfitter, Alpha Industries. There were plenty of waterproof Timberland boots and Fjällräven backpacks for taking on the Canadian climate. I also really liked their wide selection of Levi’s jeans, shirts and dresses. how to wear fjallraven backpack I picked out a Billabong daisy print blouse, classic Levi's 501 jeans and a flamingo pink Fjällräven Kånken backpack in peach pink. I wanted a colourful, but practical outfit. The pieces also can be mixed with other favourites from my closet for a myriad of looks.

While the sun is staying out longer and the air is getting warmer, it also means that germs are everywhere and the fluctuating temperatures make it easy for you to pick up a bug. I always get sick this time a year, especially since it coincides with a hectic (but fun) fashion week schedule…

Lavender Pleated Dress in Paradise

I know I talk about the weather a lot on my blog, but living in Canada can be tumultuous. Right now, it’s about -17C PLUS a windchill of -28C. That basically means insta-frostbite. While I can’t hide inside all day, I can daydream about summer days and palm trees. It might be a little masochistic to look back at pictures…
