The Sweet Spot Candy Floss

The CNE is always bittersweet. From cronuts that make people sick to fun rides that cost too much, it’s fun but sometimes a let down. Tall Ships Festival Toronto

Yesterday afternoon, I had a chance to check out the Redpath Waterfront Festival Tall Ships, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the war of 1812. This is Paradise

Over the long weekend, I had a chance to enjoy the good weather in one of my favourite spots in the city - west Queen West. My friend and I indulged in some shopping and froyo, but I was amazed at all the cute new little pizza places and bar popping up along the strip. My favourites are definitely still Dark Horse for coffee, Terroni for Italian, Dufflet or Loblaws for dessert and the Drake for brunch. Here are some photos from our afternoon. I'm wearing a cream chiffon top from Abercrombie, a mint analogous hem skirt from Zara (last season but similar here), tapestry slipper flats, vintage sunglasses and a vintage snakeskin bag I bought from Stewarts Vintage in Montreal.

This one is my favourite, and completely one-of-a-kind. It was designed by Yvonne Lin, a Ryerson University fashion grad. The jacket was a…
