After a warm and sunny weekend, I’m just waiting for the yellow crocuses and daffodils to peek out beneath the snow banks. To celebrate this new warm weather, which just might last this time, I decided to wear a bright and cheery look, featuring Canadian brands.
I’m wearing yellow polka-dot pants from Pink Tartan which I found at Marshalls for a steal, a trompe l’oeil blouse from Joe Fresh, the Coach Legacy Penny bag in ultraviolet purple and Zara suede asymmetrical pumps.
The polka dots are so large and eye-catching, I just had to own this fun pair of pants. I kept the look simple with a chic white shirt, black pumps and a bright purple bag for a contrasting pop of colour. I also had my shirt monogrammed at a Joe Fresh event a few weeks ago. I love how the pink stitching with my initials gives it a personalized touch!
I also accessorized with a pair of cat-eye glasses from Clearly Contacts. The cat-eye shape is flattering and feminine, and the tortoiseshell colour blends well with my hair colour. I usually wear contacts because I look at the computer a lot, but since it was a perfect day for a walk, I decided to wear my frames all day.
While it’s still a little chilly to go in shoes with bare feet, I’m looking forward to warmer weather on the horizon soon.
