Casual Friday can be tricky if you’ve just started a new job, or don’t know how much to push it. I hope this guide will help you navigate your wardrobe dilemmas, while still allowing you to wear more relaxing clothing at the end of your workweek! Casual Friday Outfit Ideas: #1 Jogger pant
If your office is “business casual” I would recommend wearing a pair of satin jogger pants with a neat waterfall blazer and heels. This look is very fashion forward and fun. I’ve paired these Zara jogger pants with a grey tee, black blazer and my favourite pumps, the Renny style from La Canadienne.
These Renny heels are often seen on our first lady, Sophie Trudeau. I get why! They are so comfortable and have the perfect shape. I love wearing them with casual outfits like this, or with my more formal office looks.
I’ve also worn thicker jogger pants with a cute printed tee and ballet flats. They are really versatile, but still put together. Think of them as a more relaxed, Friday alternative to dress pants.
Casual Friday Outfit Ideas: #2 Culottes
If your office is more formal or corporate, I would wear a pair of on-trend cullotes with a blouse and heels. This look is still put together enough if you need to add a blazer and duck into a meeting, but a lot more relaxed than a suit or sheath dress.
I’m wearing a pair of culottes from Zara (similar paper bag culottes here), a sleeveless blouse from Joe Fresh (I own this one in three colours!), heels from Winners (similar gold loafers here under $25), and a Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Neverfull.
Culottes are really versatile and honestly feel like you’re wearing pyjamas. I love this black version because they go with everything.
Casual Friday Outfit Ideas: #3 Denim
If you’re lucky enough to be able to wear denim on casual Fridays, I love mixing workwear pieces with jeans. I shared this look in this post, but the formula is simple. Jeans + chiffon top/blouse + blazer + heels = chic casual Friday outfit idea. This outfit is great for gals in media/PR that still need to look chic and on point, but with a more approachable, casual Friday vibe.
I’m wearing a blazer from Grayes (also a dress!), a chiffon top from Banana Republic, a pair of Levi’s, the “Instagram Bag” aka the Cult Gaia Ark Bag, and Renny heels from La Canadienne.
This office outfit is cute enough to wear on date night too! For cooler months, I would wear a thin sweater instead of the chiffon top, and swap the heels for heeled booties.
Casual Friday Outfit Ideas: #4 Jumpsuit
Now, if your office is creative and more laid back, I love wearing a jumpsuit! This one from Ralph Lauren is super relaxed and easygoing. But, you can dress it up with a fun tweed blazer too.
