Disney Princesses Re-Imagined by Designers

There’s only a few things I love more than fashion illustration and the fantasy of Disney Princesses. I think they’re a perfect combination, and Harrods’ Christmas windows are being taken over by fairytales. The display will include a 7,000 sq. ft. Disney Princess pop-up boutique, which is perfect for finding the perfect gift for your little princess. The windows will be unveiled November 1, according to Vogue.UK

Ariel by Marchesa.

Tiana by Ralph Russo.

Snow White by Oscar de la Renta.

My favourite is Sleeping Beauty by Elie Saab. The dress is ethereal and feminine, like the Sleeping Beauty herself.

A close second is the Rapunzel illustration by Jenny Packham. I love the modern interpretation of the damsel in distress.

Pocahontas is garbed in Roberto Cavalli’s classic animal prints.

Mulan by Missoni. The Chinese warrior princess looks chic in the Italian fashion house.

Princess Jasmine is outfitted in Escada, the perfect designer for flowing jumpsuits. I wish it was in Jasmine’s classic teal though!

I’m not a huge fan of the Cinderella dress designed by Donatella Versace. The humble princess would never wear that much gaudy jewellery!

Belle by Valentino is an artistic take on the well-read princess.

I love all of these artistic renderings and designer visions of Disney Princesses, I’m always a fan of illustration, so I couldn’t help sharing this latest collaboration with the British retailer.
